The soul that sees beauty may sometimes walk alone

Bakr ibn Abdullah [rahimahullah] said,

If you see someone who is older than you, say to yourself:

He has preceded me in Eemaan and righteous actions, therefore he is

better than me.

If you see someone younger than you, say to yourself:
I have preceded him in sins, therefore he is better than me.

*One of the best definitions of sincerity is to forget about the creation by constantly looking at the Creator .
